बिन्दुसार The Forgotten Maurya — Conqueror of the SouthBindusara was the son of Chandragupta Maurya and the father of Ashoka, often called the 'forgotten emperor' because he stands between two giants of Indian history. Yet Bindusara ruled for nearly 25 years and significantly expanded the Maurya Empire southward into the Deccan, conquering 16 additional states. Greek sources called him 'Amitraghata' — meaning 'slayer of foes' — reflecting his formidable military reputation.

It also shows that the Maurya court's diplomatic network extended to using Greek medical knowledge — a remarkable example of ancient knowledge transfer.
