Nari Samman नारी सम्मान

"Every daughter deserves a future."

What This Mission Is About

Protecting the girl child. Upholding a woman's dignity.

Nari Samman confronts one of India's deepest injustices — the idea that a daughter is a burden. We work to end female foeticide and sex-selective abortion, to protect and empower the girl child, and to restore the dignity every woman is owed from birth.

This is not charity. It begins with a mother's story, travels through hard data and honest dialogue, and ends in real action — awareness that changes minds, support that changes lives, and vigilance that upholds the law.

यत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यन्ते रमन्ते तत्र देवताः। "Where women are honoured, there the divine truly rejoices."

What We Do

Four ways this mission works on the ground

Clear, practical programs — each designed to move a daughter from unwanted to celebrated.

1 · Awareness Campaigns

Village-to-village and school outreach that challenges son-preference — through real stories, community meetings, street theatre and regional-language media that reframe daughters as pride, not burden.

2 · Girl-Child Support

Scholarships, education kits, nutrition and health awareness for girls — plus recognition programs that honour families raising and educating daughters with pride.

3 · PCPNDT Vigilance

Working with citizens and authorities to monitor illegal prenatal sex-determination, encourage safe reporting, and push for genuine enforcement of the law that already exists.

4 · Celebrating Daughters

Public celebrations of girl children — birth welcomes, achievement felicitations and role-model spotlights — to shift culture from mourning a daughter's arrival to rejoicing in it.
